Multi Spindle Automatic Turning Machines
* 1 x 1 5/8" Conomatic with the capability of machining up to 41mm diameter and up to 36mm hexagonal bar
* 1 x 1 1/4" Conomatic with the capability of machining up to 32mm diameter and up to 28mm hexagonal bar
The multi spindle machines are fitted with internal recessing and internal/external threading gear.
CAD /CAM
All CNC machines are linked to our CAD/CAM work centre and use state-of-the-art manufacturing software for part modeling and offline programming. This system allows for the collection and transmission of CNC data to and from our CNC machines. We have a well organised archive of CNC programs stored at the work centre for future use. Other facilities enable us to import CAD/CAM files and extract engineering data and drawings.
Both Edgecam (2011 edition) and Feature Cam allow us to draw and send down machine tool paths allowing off line programming.
CNC's
*1 Citizen C32 sliding head lathe with Iemca 3 metre bar feeder- a multi axis machine with 3 tools simultaneously cutting bar up to 32mm in diameter and parts up to 600mm long. High speed and precision machining is possible with simultaneous front and back end working and also with high pressure coolant.
* 1 Daewoo Puma 280M, Full C axis, mill and drill turning centre with 12 position driven tool turret and 10" chuck. Fitted with Samsys bar feeder (capable of machining 12-76mm diameter and 12-66mm hexagonal bar up to 658mm in length) and swarf management system. Chucking facility extends machine able diameter to 420mm for billet work.
* 1 Daewoo Puma 230M, Full C axis mill and drill turning centre with 12 position driven tool turret. Fitted with Samsys bar feeder (capable of machining 12-66mm diameter and 12-58mm hexagonal bar) and swarf management system. Chucking facility extends machine able diameter to 350mm for billet work
* 1 Doosan Puma 2500Y Full C and Y axis mill and drill turning centre with 12 position driven tool turret. Fitted with Samsys bar feeder and swarf management system.
* 1 Doosan Puma 280LM, Full C axis, extended bed, mill and drill turning centre with 12 position driven tool turret and 10" chuck. Fitted with swarf management system. Max turn diameter of 420mm and max length of 1000mm
* 1 Puma 240B CNC lathe fitted with swarf management system.
* 1 Daewoo Mynx 410 Vertical Machining Centre fitted with 24 position automated toolchanger and swarf management system.
Dedicated Quality Control Centre with:
* Tesa Micro-hite 4.7.4 3D coordinate measuring machine with dedicated dot matrix printer, linked to CAD /CAM Work centre.
* Calibrated Granite Table
* Mitutoyo Surface Roughness Tester (SJ-201), Testing Grades from N1 - N12:- which is Ra µm 0.025 - 50.0 Equivalent Micro-inch value Ra µin 1 - 2000. Important requirement within the textile industry
* Rank Taylor Hobson Surtronic 10 Ra portable surface roughness tester
* Dataputer (3000) S.P.C. Quality Analyzer which has it's own attachable: 0 - 6" %26 0 -12" Mitutoyo Vernier gauge, 0 - 1" %26 1 - 2" Mitutoyo Micrometer gauge and 0 - 1" Sylvac Depth gauge. Readings are used in capability studies to determine how well machines hold specified diameters. Readings are archived for customer use. If customers require the data a copy is generated and printed on a dedicated dot matrix printer.
* Mitutoyo PH3500 Profile Projector. Used for checking components against engineering drawing specifications i.e. Shape of required angles, thread angles and radii.
* Tesa-hite 400 digital height gauge
* 3 Bowers Bore gauge sets, with digital displays %26 setting rings, in the range of 16-100mm, 100-150mm %26 150-210mm
* Full library of plug gauges, comprehensive collection of thread caliper, thread %26 screw ring gauges all with up-to-date certification. In addition we have thread wire gauges to ensure that customer specification is maintained to high standards.
